Cappadocia - Tourist Place Of Ancient Valleys

An ancient district of Turkey situated in east central Anatolia Cappadocia is an enchanting place with integration of both nature and history. This region covers several provinces i.e. Nevsehir, Kirsehir, Nidge, Aksaray and Kayseri.

The word Cappadocia has been derived from Persian language which means “Land of Beautiful Horses”. This region was established in 332 BC. This region became a province of Rome after the death of last king of Cappadocia in 17 AD. The region is bounded by dramatic landscapes surrounded by cones, caves, valleys and volcanic rocks which have been shaped by erosion into towers. The region is best known for lunar landscapes, cave churches, underground cities and hot air balloon ride. Hot Air Balloon

The best way to see the dramatic and magnificent landscape of Cappadocia is via Hot Air Balloon ride. You can experience this beautiful hot air balloon ride with sights of spectacular rock formations and colorful hot air balloons floating around you. The ride is held in early morning so that you can experience sunrise and a bird’s eye view of the valley. The ride is of about one hour and it include pick and drop facility from hotels. Kaymakli – Underground city

Beneath Cappadocia’s rocks not just one or two but 36 of underground cities are present. It is believed that these underground cities were formed by the first inhabitants of Cappadocia in order to escape from the challenging weather conditions and wild animals. Later, these cities were used by Christians for hiding from Roman soldiers.

Kaymakli is believed to be the widest of all underground cities in Cappadocia. It is a beautiful model depicting true picture of architectural engineering in current era. The city is comprised of storage rooms, stables, church, winery, ventilation shafts and tunnels.

Göreme

Town of Göreme is the fantastic tourism attraction for visitors along with Nevşehir, Avanos and Urgüp.
